Zevalin Drug Interactions

To help ensure an effective and safe treatment with Zevalin, your healthcare provider needs to know about all other medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking. For example, negative interactions may occur if Zevalin is combined with digoxin, echinacea, or live vaccinations. Some of these reactions may increase your risk for serious side effects or make the drugs less effective.

An Overview of Interactions With Zevalin

Zevalin® (ibritumomab) may react with several other medications. Some of the drugs that may interact with Zevalin include but are not limited to:
  • Amphotericin B (Abelcet®, AmBisome®, Amphotec®)
  • Clozapine (Clozaril®, FazaClo®)
  • Digoxin (Lanoxin®)
  • Certain biologic and immunologic medications, such as:
  • Medications that "thin" the blood, including anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs, such as:
      • Alteplase (Activase®)
      • Reteplase (Retavase®)
      • Streptokinase (Streptase®)
      • Tenecteplase (TNKase®)
