Zanosar Side Effects

Serious Side Effects

Some side effects of Zanosar are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
 
  • Changes in how much or how often you urinate
  • Signs of infection, such as:
 
 
  • Unusual bleeding or bruising
  • Black, tarry stools or blood in the urine
  • Signs of anemia, such as:
 
    • Extreme weakness or fatigue
    • Pale skin
    • Shortness of breath
    • Dizziness
 
  • Swelling, pain, redness, burning, or leakage of fluid around your injection site
  • Signs of liver problems, such as:
 
    • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice)
    • Dark urine
    • Pale stool
    • Upper-right abdominal (stomach) pain
 
  • Persistent or severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Extreme thirst
  • Swelling of the arms, hands, legs, ankles, or feet
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Confusion
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Feeling depressed
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
 
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing.
 

Final Thoughts

You may experience some or none of the side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have problems with a medicine that you have never tried.
 
Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while using Zanosar or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be related to the medication, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
