General Information on Using Zanosar

Some considerations to keep in mind during treatment with Zanosar include the following:
  • This medication comes in the form of a powder that is mixed with liquid and injected into a vein (an intravenous, or IV, injection). Your healthcare provider will tell you how often you need to receive it.
  • Zanosar is normally given by a trained healthcare provider in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital or clinic.
  • Your healthcare provider may give you other medicines to help prevent or lessen certain Zanosar side effects. Make sure you know how you should be taking these other medicines.
  • You may receive Zanosar as a rapid injection or more slowly over 15 minutes to 6 hours.
  • Avoid getting this medication on your skin. If contact does occur, immediately wash the area with soap and water.
