Velcade Treatment

If you have mantle cell lymphoma or multiple myeloma, your healthcare provider may recommend chemotherapy treatment with Velcade® (bortezomib). It is approved for use in adults only, and comes as an injection that is administered by your healthcare provider. It can be given as a slow injection into a vein (intravenous, or IV, injection) or just beneath the skin (subcutaneously).
Your dosage of Velcade is individualized based on your height and weight, how well you tolerate it, and whether you are taking certain other drugs or supplements. Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, and weakness.
(Click Velcade for more details on what to expect during treatment, including how the drug works, when and how it is given, and why it is not safe for use in some people.)
