Velcade Regimen

Velcade® (bortezomib) is prescribed to adults who have certain types of cancer, specifically multiple myeloma or mantle cell lymphoma. But how will your healthcare provider determine your specific Velcade regimen?

This medication comes in the form of an injection that is given slowly into a vein (intravenously) or just under the skin (subcutaneously). The specific dosage your healthcare provider prescribes will depend on the reason you are using Velcade, how you respond to the drug, and your height and weight, among other factors.

The injection is administered by your healthcare provider once or twice a week for a series of weeks, with a 10- to 13-day break in between cycles. The duration of this Velcade regimen will be based on your particular situation and whether you develop serious complications.
