Thyriod Cancer

Were you looking for information about Thyroid Cancer? Thyriod cancer is a common misspelling of thyroid cancer.

If you are female, over the age of 40, and do not get enough iodine in your diet, you may be at an increased risk of developing thyroid cancer. This disease occurs when cancerous cells first develop in the tissues of the thyroid, a butterfly-shaped gland located at the front of the neck. Although there are typically no early signs or symptoms of thyroid cancer, as the cancer grows, it may cause difficulty swallowing, swollen lymph nodes, and pain in the throat or neck. Possible treatment options may include surgery, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, and radioactive iodine treatment.
