Testicular Cancer Statistics

Death Rates

For 2000 to 2003, the median age at death from testicular cancer was 40 years of age. The percentages of people who died from testicular cancer based on age were:
 
  • 2.6 percent died under age 20
  • 32.8 percent between 20 and 34
  • 27.3 percent between 35 and 44
  • 17.2 percent between 45 and 54
  • 7.2 percent between 55 and 64
  • 5.9 percent between 65 and 74
  • 4.7 percent between 75 and 84
  • 2.3 percent 85+ years of age.
     
The age-adjusted testicular cancer death rate was 0.3 per 100,000 men per year. These rates are based on patients who died in 2000 to 2003 in the United States. Testicular cancer death rates by race are shown in the following table.
