Stomach Cancer Survival RateA stomach cancer survival rate refers to the percentage of people with the disease who survive the cancer for a certain length of time after their diagnosis. For example, many statistics cite five-year survival rates for stomach cancer. The survival rates presented in this article are based on the relative survival rate, which measures the survival of stomach cancer patients in comparison to the general population. The overall five-year relative stomach cancer survival rate for 1995-2001 was 23.2 percent.
