Stomach Cancer Screening (Cont.)

Final Thoughts on Stomach Cancer Screening

Patients who believe that they may be at risk for stomach cancer should talk with their doctor. Doctors can suggest ways to reduce a person's stomach cancer risk and help plan a schedule for checkups that may or may not include stomach cancer screening.

Keep in mind that if your doctor suggests certain screening tests for stomach cancer, it does not mean that he or she thinks you have cancer. Screening tests are done when a person does not have symptoms.
