Sancuso Side Effects

Sancuso Side Effects to Report

Some side effects with Sancuso, while occurring infrequently, are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:

    • A rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling of the lips or mouth
    • Wheezing or difficulty breathing
    • Difficulty swallowing.

Other Potential Sancuso Side Effects

Several possible side effects have been seen during clinical trials with other forms of the same medication (such as Kytril®). Although these side effects have not been seen with Sancuso, it seems reasonable that they might still occur. These potential side effects of Sancuso include:

  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Increased liver enzymes (which might indicate stress to the liver)
  • Dizziness
  • Weakness
  • Diarrhea
  • Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
  • Indigestion or heartburn
  • Insomnia
  • Drowsiness
  • Fever
  • Anemia
  • Decreased appetite
  • Hair loss (see Kytril and Hair Loss).

Of course, some of these potential side effects (such as fever, anemia, decreased appetite, or hair loss) are probably due to the chemotherapy, rather than the medication.
