Rasburicase Side Effects

When rasburicase was given to people during clinical trials, some of the most common reactions included nausea, headaches, and swelling. Fortunately, many people who use this medicine tolerate it fairly well. Serious side effects with rasburicase are possible, however, and may include problems like fever, allergic reactions, and yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin.

An Introduction to Side Effects of Rasburicase

Just like any medicine, rasburicase (Elitek®) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the medication will experience problems. In fact, many people tolerate it quite well. If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
