Pheochromocytoma Treatment: Follow-up Care
Follow-up care after treatment for a
pheochromocytoma is important. Even when there are no longer any signs of cancer, the disease sometimes returns because undetected cancer cells remained somewhere in the body after pheochromocytoma treatment.
During follow-up for pheochromocytoma treatment, the doctor will monitor the patient's recovery and check for recurrence of the cancer. Checkups help ensure that any changes in the patient's health are noted and treated if needed. Between scheduled visits, the doctor should be contacted if any health problems occur.
