Oxymorphone ER Side Effects

Your healthcare provider needs to know right away if you are taking oxymorphone ER and develop serious side effects, such as severe constipation, unusual changes in mood, or confusion. In most cases, however, people are able to take the drug without many problems. Common side effects include itching, drowsiness, and constipation. Other, less common problems may include insomnia, fatigue, and a decreased appetite.

An Introduction to Side Effects of Oxymorphone ER

Just like any medicine, oxymorphone ER (Opana® ER) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur while taking oxymorphone ER, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.

(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with oxymorphone ER. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list with you.)
