Neulasta? Nuelasta is a common misspelling of Neulasta.
Neulasta® is a medication that is prescribed to prevent infections in people who are undergoing certain types of chemotherapy. By injecting the drug once per chemotherapy cycle, you can significantly decrease your risk for infections. The medicine comes in one strength -- Neulasta 6 mg. Each syringe is prefilled with just the right dose and has a needle attached.
While most people tolerate this product well, potential side effects include muscle pain, bone pain, joint pain, and headaches. Hair loss is very common in people taking this drug, but it is most likely due to the chemotherapy, rather than the drug itself.
