Neulasta® is a prescription injection that is used for preventing infections in people who are receiving chemotherapy. The medicine works by binding to stem cells in the bone marrow and stimulating the production of a specific type of white blood cell. Neulasta is generally given once per chemotherapy cycle. Side effects of the medication may include headaches, bone pain, muscle pain, and joint pain.
