General Information on Using Mutamycin

Some considerations to keep in mind during treatment with Mutamycin include the following:
  • Mutamycin comes in the form of a powder, which is dissolved in sterile water to form a liquid. It is normally given through a needle inserted into a vein (an intravenous, or IV, injection).
  • Dosages are usually given once every six to eight weeks.
  • You will normally receive your injection by a healthcare provider in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital or clinic.
  • For the medication to work properly, it must be used as prescribed.
  • If you are unsure about anything related to your dosage of Mutamycin, please talk with your healthcare provider or pharmacist.
