Cancer Home > Velcade Dosing Schedule

Adults who have multiple myeloma or mantle cell lymphoma may receive chemotherapy treatment with Velcade® (bortezomib). However, the dosing schedule for this drug will vary from person to person. The specific amount is calculated by using your height and weight. Other factors that may affect your regimen include the reason the medicine is being used, how you tolerate it, and other medications you are taking.

Velcade comes as an injection that is given slowly into a vein (intravenously) or just under the skin (subcutaneously). It is administered by a healthcare provider in a healthcare setting usually once or twice a week, with a 10- to 13-day break in between treatment cycles. Your healthcare provider will determine your individual treatment plan.
