Drug Interactions

Mutamycin may react with several other medications (see Mutamycin Drug Interactions).
 

Important Information for Your Healthcare Provider

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to using Mutamycin if you have:
 
  • Kidney disease, such as kidney failure (renal failure)
  • Liver disease, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, or liver failure
  • Low platelet counts
  • A bleeding disorder
  • Lung disease
  • Any allergies, including to medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives.
 
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
   
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

What If I Overdose on Mutamycin?

It is not exactly clear what to expect from an overdose with Mutamycin. As is always the case, seek immediate medical attention if you or someone else may have overdosed on this or any other medication.

What Should I Do If I Forget a Dose?

If you forget your appointment to receive your dose of Mutamycin, contact your healthcare provider right away. He or she will advise you on what to do next.
