Cancer Home > Fentanyl Sublingual Spray

Storage Information

Fentanyl sublingual spray should be stored at room temperature, in the original, unopened blister unit until ready for use. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets. Because fentanyl sublingual spray is a potential drug of abuse, it should be stored in a safe place to prevent theft.
Ask your healthcare provider about a free fentanyl sublingual spray child safety kit. This kit contains a temporary safe storage bag (with a lock) for transporting the medication, along with a supply of cabinet and drawer safety latches to help keep your medication secure. Medication safes are also a good option, as long as they are kept locked and out of the reach of children.

Is There a Generic Version?
