More Detail on Drug Interactions With Crizotinib

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when crizotinib is combined with any of the drugs listed above.

Budesonide
Crizotinib can increase the level of budesonide in your bloodstream, potentially increasing your risk for budesonide side effects. This interaction is more of a concern with budesonide capsules than the inhaled version. Your healthcare provider may choose to give you a lower budesonide dosage if you take it with crizotinib.

Certain Antidepressants
Crizotinib may increase blood levels of certain antidepressants, possibly increasing your risk for side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking crizotinib with an antidepressant medication.

Certain Benzodiazepines
Crizotinib may increase blood levels of certain benzodiazepines, possibly increasing your risk for side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking crizotinib with a benzodiazepine.

Certain Blood Pressure Medications
Crizotinib may increase blood levels of certain blood pressure medications. If you take a blood pressure medicine with crizotinib, your healthcare provider may monitor your blood pressure more closely and decrease your blood pressure medicine dose if needed.

Colchicine
Crizotinib may increase blood levels of colchicine, which could increase your risk for potentially serious colchicine side effects. Do not take these medications together without first talking to your healthcare provider. You may need a lower colchicine dosage.

Cyclosporine
Crizotinib may increase blood levels of cyclosporine, potentially increasing the risk for serious cyclosporine side effects. It is generally recommended that these medicines not be taken together.
