A number of medications and other products may cause drug interactions with cladribine, including echinacea, live vaccinations, and certain biologic medications. These combinations can decrease the effectiveness of certain drugs or increase your risk for developing dangerous complications. Tell your healthcare provider about all other medications, vitamins, or herbal supplements you are taking to help ensure a safe treatment with cladribine.
Cladribine (Leustatin®) may interact with a few other medications. Some of the drugs that may react with cladribine include but are not limited to:
- Amphotericin B (Abelcet®, AmBisome®, Amphotec®)
- Clozapine (Clozaril®, FazaClo®)
- Certain biologic and immunologic medications, such as:
- "Live" vaccinations, such as:
