An Overview of Cetuximab Interactions

Cetuximab (Erbitux®) does not have any known drug interactions. Despite this, it is important to understand that cetuximab has not been studied with all other drugs. Therefore, interactions with cetuximab may be discovered at a later date.
 
Cetuximab is sometimes combined with other anti-cancer medications, including:
 
Irinotecan and cetuximab have been studied together, and do not appear to interact. However, irinotecan and the other anti-cancer medicines could interact with other drugs you take. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about the possible interactions that may apply to you any time you start or stop a new medication.
 

Final Thoughts

You should always tell your healthcare provider about all the medications you take, including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and vitamins or supplements. Other medicines may be found to interact with cetuximab in the future.
