Your healthcare provider needs to be aware of all other medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking before you can begin treatment with Bexxar. Negative drug interactions may occur if Bexxar is combined with various products, including echinacea, certain biologic medications, and live vaccinations. In some cases, these reactions may increase your risk for serious side effects or make the drugs less effective.

An Overview of Interactions With Bexxar

Bexxar® (tositumomab) may react with several other medications. Some of the drugs that may interact with Bexxar include but are not limited to:
 
  • Amphotericin B (Abelcet®, AmBisome®, Amphotec®)
  • Clozapine (Clozaril®, FazaClo®)
  • Digoxin (Lanoxin®)
  • Certain biologic and immunologic medications, such as:
 
 
 
 
  • Medications that increase the risk of bleeding, such as:
 
 
 
 
      • Alteplase (Activase®)
      • Reteplase (Retavase®)
      • Streptokinase (Streptase®)
      • Tenecteplase (TNKase®)
