If your healthcare provider has prescribed axitinib, it is important that he or she knows about all other medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking. Combining axitinib with St. John's wort, ciprofloxacin, or certain other drugs could lead to negative interactions. Some of these reactions may result in potentially serious side effects or decreased effectiveness of the medications.
