Liver Cancer Statistics Regarding Prevalence

On January 1, 2002, in the United States, there were approximately 15,512 men and women alive who had a history of liver cancer -- 9,498 men and 6,014 women. This includes any person alive on January 1, 2002, who had been diagnosed with liver cancer at any point prior to January 1, 2002, and includes both people with an active case of the disease and those who are cured of their liver cancer.
