  • Liver disease, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, or liver failure
  • Kidney disease, such as kidney failure (renal failure)
  • A disorder of the nerves, brain, or spinal cord, including a rare genetic condition known as Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) syndrome
  • Numbness, tingling, pain, or burning sensations of your skin
  • Weakness of your hands or feet
  • Difficulty walking
  • Problems picking up and holding things with your hands
  • Decreased or increased sensitivity to touch, heat, cold, or pain in your hands or feet
  • Constipation
  • Problems urinating
  • Head, face, or jaw pain
  • Decreased reflexes
  • Abdominal (stomach) pain, swelling (distention), or fullness
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle pain, weakness, or spasms
  • Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.
