Stage IV Kidney Cancer
In stage IV kidney cancer, cancer has spread:
 
  • Beyond the layer of fatty tissue around the kidney and may be found in one nearby lymph node
 
  • To two or more nearby lymph nodes
 
  • To other organs, such as the bowel, pancreas, or lungs, and may be found in nearby lymph nodes.
 
Recurrent Kidney Cancer
Recurrent kidney cancer is cancer that has come back after it has been treated. The cancer may come back at any time (after treatment) in the kidney or in other parts of the body.
