Drug Interactions With Hecoria

Dabigatran
Combining Hecoria with dabigatran could increase your dabigatran blood levels, and your risk for bleeding. Talk to your healthcare provider before combining these medicines. He or she may want to monitor you more closely, and possibly reduce your dabigatran dose.

Echinacea
Echinacea could decrease the effectiveness of Hecoria. Do not take echinacea while taking Hecoria, without first talking with your healthcare provider.

Grapefruit Juice
You should not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit while taking Hecoria. Grapefruit juice may increase the amount of Hecoria in your body, potentially increasing your risk for side effects.

Leflunomide
Combining leflunomide with Hecoria may increase your risk for certain blood cell problems, such as abnormally low red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medicines together.

Live Vaccinations
You should not receive live vaccinations during Hecoria treatment. Other vaccines may be less effective during Hecoria treatment. Therefore, talk to your healthcare provider before you receive any vaccination or immunization while taking Hecoria.

QT-Prolonging Medications
Hecoria should generally not be combined with any other medication that can cause QT prolongation (a certain change in the heart rhythm), due to the risk of a life-threatening arrhythmia.

Natalizumab
Combining Hecoria with natalizumab may increase your risk for getting infections. In general, these medications should not be taken together.

P-Glycoprotein (Pgp) Inducers
P-glycoprotein is a natural protein that helps remove substances, such as medications, from the tissues in the body, so they can be excreted through the urine or feces. Pgp helps remove Hecoria from the body. Certain medications known as Pgp inducers increase the activity of Pgp.

Taking Hecoria with one of these Pgp inducers causes Hecoria to be removed from the body too quickly, potentially making it less effective. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor your Hecoria blood levels more closely if you take it with a Pgp inducer, and adjust your dose as needed.
