Folotyn Drug Interactions

Tell your healthcare provider about all other medications, supplements, and vitamins you are taking before starting treatment with Folotyn. Live vaccinations, echinacea, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are among the products that can cause negative interactions when combined with Folotyn. Reactions such as these may increase your risk for kidney damage, breathing problems, or other potentially serious complications.

An Overview of Interactions With Folotyn

Folotyn® (pralatrexate) may interact with a few other medications. Some of the drugs that may react with Folotyn include but are not limited to:
 
  • Amphotericin B (Abelcet®, AmBisome®, Amphotec®)

  • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as:
 
 
  • Probenecid
  • Salicylates, such as:
 
    • Aspirin (Ecotrin®, Bayer®, Anacin®)

    • Choline magnesium trisalicylate (Trilisate®), diflunisal (Dolobid®)
