Fludarabine and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Although fludarabine phosphate (Fludara®) can be an effective chemotherapy treatment for treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia in some adults, it may cause problems in some people.
For instance, there have been reports of Richter's syndrome occurring in people who had chronic lymphocytic leukemia and were treated with fludarabine. Richter's syndrome is a rare but aggressive form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that starts as chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
