Fentora 800 Mcg

If you have breakthrough cancer pain, you may benefit from Fentora® (fentanyl buccal tablets). This medication is approved for use in people age 18 and older, and is available by prescription only. It is a strong narcotic pain medication licensed to treat breakthrough pain (pain that "breaks through" regularly scheduled narcotic pain medication) in people with cancer.

Your dosage will depend on several factors, such as other pain medications you have taken and other medical conditions you may have. There are several strengths available, ranging from 100 mcg to 800 mcg. Fentora comes in the form of a tablet, which is dissolved in the mouth between the upper cheek and gums.

The normal dosage is one Fentora tablet every four hours as needed. Keep Fentora between your cheek and gum until the tablet dissolves. This normally takes 14 to 25 minutes. You may swallow any remaining tablet with a glass of water after 30 minutes.
