Contraindications to Fentora

Before taking

Fentora^® (fentanyl buccal tablets), tell your healthcare provider if you have any of the following conditions:

A history of drug or alcohol dependence or abuse
Ever had breathing problems, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or any other lung disease
A slow heart rate or other heart problems.

Fentora is not suitable for everyone. While some people simply require closer monitoring during treatment, other people will need to avoid this medication altogether. Contraindications for Fentora include:

Being allergic to any of the ingredients in the drug
Not having a tolerance to the effects of opioid medications
Needing short-term pain medication.
