Estrogens
Estrogens may decrease the effectiveness of exemestane. Therefore, estrogens should not be taken with this drug.
 
Oral Contraceptives
Oral contraceptives may also decrease the effectiveness of exemestane and should not be taken with it. Talk to your healthcare provider about alternative birth control methods.
 
Rifamycin Antibiotics
Taking exemestane with rifamycin antibiotics may decrease the level of exemestane in your blood, perhaps decreasing its effectiveness. Your healthcare provider may need to increase your exemestane dosage.
 
St. John's Wort
Taking exemestane with St. John's wort may decrease the level of exemestane in your blood, perhaps decreasing its effectiveness. Your healthcare provider may need to increase your exemestane dosage.
