Eulexin Uses

How Does It Work?

Androgens (male sex hormones, such as testosterone) stimulate the growth of prostate cancer. Eulexin works by blocking the actions of androgens, thereby slowing down the growth of prostate cancer cells. When used in combination with a GnRH agonist, the GnRH agonist reduces the amount of testosterone made by the body and Eulexin blocks the action of the remaining testosterone.

Can Children Use Eulexin?

Eulexin is not approved for use in people younger than 18 years of age, as it has not been adequately studied in this age group. Talk to your child's healthcare provider about the particular risks and benefits of using this medication in children.

Can Older Adults Use Eulexin?

Prostate cancer is common in older men. Therefore, Eulexin is commonly used in older adult males. It is not approved for use in women, including older adult women.

Off-Label Uses
