What If I Take an Overdose?

It is not known exactly what to expect from an overdose of Emend. An overdose is unlikely, as most people are given just a few capsules at a time, due to the high cost of the medication. In one case, a person who took too much Emend (1440 mg, compared to the usual dose of 40 to 125 mg) experienced drowsiness and a headache.
If you happen to take too much, seek immediate medical attention.
(Click Emend Overdose for more information.)

How Should Emend Be Stored?

Emend should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. The capsules should be stored in an airtight container.
Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

Tell your healthcare provider if you forgot to take your Emend dosage before your chemotherapy or surgery. If you do not take your subsequent doses as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Strengths of Emend
