Duraclon Drug Interactions

If Duraclon is taken with digoxin, beta blockers, "blood thinners," or other drugs, interactions may occur. These negative interactions could increase the risk of dangerous side effects such as dangerously low blood pressure or a dangerously slow heart rate. In order to minimize your chances of developing drug interactions with Duraclon, you should tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking.

An Overview of Duraclon Drug Interactions

Duraclon® (clonidine hydrochloride) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to interactions with Duraclon include:
 
  • Medications that "thin" the blood (anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs), such as:

 

    • Aspirin (Bayer® and others)
    • Cilostazol (Pletal®)
    • Clopidogrel (Plavix®)
    • Dipyridamole (Persantine®)
    • Eptifibatide (Integrilin®)
    • Heparin or heparin-like products, including dalteparin (Fragmin®), enoxaparin (Lovenox®), or tinzaparin (Innohep®)
    • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Digoxin (Digitek®, Lanoxin®)
     
  • Epidural anesthetics
     
  • Other medications or substances that cause drowsiness, including, but not limited to:
