Drug Interactions With Dasatinib

Taking denosumab with dasatinib could increase your risk for potentially serious infections. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medicines together. Also, contact your healthcare provider if you develop any symptoms of an infection, such as fever, chills, aches and pains, or coughing.
Dasatinib may be less effective if it is taken with echinacea. Do not take these medications together unless your healthcare provider tells you otherwise.
Ergot Medications
Dasatinib may increase blood levels of ergot medications, which could increase the risk for potentially serious side effects. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you more closely if you take dasatinib with an ergot medication.
Combining fentanyl with dasatinib may increase the amount of fentanyl in your bloodstream to potentially dangerous levels. Your healthcare provider may monitor you more closely for side effects if you take these medicines together.
H2 blockers
H2 blockers decrease the amount of dasatinib absorbed from the stomach into the body, potentially making dasatinib less effective. Do not take an H2 blocker during dasatinib treatment, unless your healthcare provider tells you otherwise.
Combining leflunomide and dasatinib may increase your risk for low blood cell counts, including abnormally low red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. This could increase your risk for severe anemia, infection, and bleeding. Your healthcare provider will monitor you for these problems if you take these medications together.
Live Vaccinations
Live vaccines are vaccines that contain live viruses or bacteria. If you receive a live vaccine while taking dasatinib, you might become infected with the virus or bacteria from the vaccine. Also, live vaccines may be less effective in people taking dasatinib. Talk to your healthcare provider before receiving a vaccination or immunization while taking this medication.
