Crizotinib Side Effects

Common Side Effects

Crizotinib has been studied extensively in clinical trials. In these studies, the side effects that occurred in a group of people taking the drug were carefully documented. As a result, it was possible to see what side effects occurred and how often they appeared.

Other common reactions, occurring in 4 to 20 percent of people, included:
 
  • Symptoms of the common cold, such as congestion, runny nose, and sore throat
  • Abdominal (stomach) pain
  • Rash
  • Increase in liver enzymes
  • Headaches
  • Changes in sense of taste
  • Chest pain
  • Fever
  • Insomnia
  • Mouth pain, sores, and inflammation
  • Joint pain
  • Back pain
  • Low heart rate
  • Low white blood cell counts.
