Zolinza Medication Information

Adults who have been diagnosed with a cancer of the blood that affects the skin may benefit from Zolinza® (vorinostat). This prescription medicine is specifically approved for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma when the cancer has not improved, gotten worse, or has come back after two other treatments have been tried unsuccessfully.

Zolinza comes as a capsule that is taken once a day with food. Your dosage will be based primarily on how well you tolerate the medication. Although Zolinza has not been shown to prolong survival and is not a cure for this cancer, it may help relieve associated skin problems.

Before beginning chemotherapy treatment with Zolinza, make sure to review the medication's safety information with your healthcare provider. Some people who have anemia or a history of blood clots may not be able to safely use this drug. Also, it may cause potentially dangerous interactions when combined with certain other medications.
