Zevalin Medication Information

Available by prescription only, Zevalin® (ibritumomab) is licensed to treat a slow-growing form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in adults. It comes as an intravenous (IV) injection that is administered by your healthcare provider.

This medicine works by binding to healthy cells and certain cancer cells, signaling the immune system to destroy them. Zevalin is also attached to a radioactive element, which emits radiation to kill surrounding cancer cells.

Before starting treatment with Zevalin, review the medication's safety information with your healthcare provider. For example, you may not be able to use this medicine if you have certain allergies, if you are taking certain other medications, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
