Morphine-Naltrexone Drug Information

Morphine sulfate/naltrexone hydrochloride (EmbedaTM) is a prescription drug used to treat pain. It is currently available in brand-name form only. This long-acting medicine comes in the form of a capsule and is taken once or twice a day. Before starting treatment with this product, tell your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medications (including nonprescription drugs, vitamins, and supplements); also, let him or her know about any other medical conditions you have.
 
Most people tolerate this medication well. When side effects do occur, they are generally mild and are easily treated. Some of the common side effects reported with morphine-naltrexone include constipation, nausea, and drowsiness.
