Marinol

dronabinol) is used for the treatment of chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting that has not responded to other treatments. The medicine is also used to treat loss of appetite in people with
AIDS who are experiencing weight loss due to this condition.
Prior to beginning treatment with Marinol, inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking (including nonprescription products) and any other medical conditions you have. For example, this drug may not be the best choice for people who have a history of drug and alcohol abuse, or who have a history of certain psychiatric disorders. Only by providing your healthcare provider with your complete medical history can he or she be certain that Marinol is the right medication for you.
