Eulexin Medication Information

Eulexin® (flutamide) is a prescription medication used in the treatment of certain stages of prostate cancer. It is combined with another prostate cancer medicine, such as goserelin acetate implant (Zoladex®) or leuprolide (Eligard®, Lupron®, Lupron Depot®). Eulexin is an antiandrogen and the other drug is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist. Together, the two medicines reduce the amount of testosterone the body produces and blocks its action, which slows down the growth of prostate cancer cells.

Because this medication is not appropriate for everyone, prior to starting Eulexin, inform your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you have, such as liver disease or blood disorders, and any other drugs you are taking, including nonprescription products and herbal supplements. This will help ensure a safe, effective treatment process.
