Ependymoma Brain Tumor

When a tumor forms in the tissues of the brain and spinal cord, it is called an ependymoma. The exact causes of this condition are unknown, but it can cause symptoms like frequent headaches, seizures, and loss of balance. Once a diagnosis has been made, a treatment plan can be determined. Various factors will affect this, but common options include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Ependymomas are the most common type of childhood cancer other than leukemia and lymphoma.
