Chlorambucil Drug Information

Chlorambucil (Leukeran®) is a medication used to treat certain types of blood cell cancer, specifically lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). This prescription medicine works by interfering with how the cancer cells multiply. Chlorambucil is approved for use in adults and is taken once daily on an empty stomach.
 
Although some people may not have any problems with this medicine, side effects can occur and may include diarrhea, vomiting, and low levels of blood cells.
 
To ensure your safety with chlorambucil, make sure your healthcare provider has current information on any other drugs you are taking (including vitamins and supplements), as well as any allergies you may have. Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
