Bosutinib Side Effects

Some of the potential side effects of bosutinib include fatigue, diarrhea, and vomiting. This prescription chemotherapy drug is also associated with potentially serious reactions, such as allergic reactions, anemia, and infections. An Introduction to Side Effects of Bosutinib

As with any chemotherapy medicine, bosutinib (Bosulif®) can cause side effects. In fact, most people will experience some type of reaction to this drug, and some side effects can be quite significant. Talk to your healthcare provider about ways to prevent or lessen reactions to this medicine.

Serious Bosutinib Side Effects

Some side effects of bosutinib are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
 
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
 
  • Signs of infection, such as:
 
  • Signs of anemia, such as:
    • Weakness
    • Unusual fatigue
    • Pale skin
    • Shortness of breath
    • Dizziness
 
  • Any unusual bleeding or bruising
  • Black, tarry, or bloody stools
  • Blood in the urine, which could appear as pink or red-colored urine
  • Shortness of breath or a new or worsening cough
  • Signs of liver problems, such as:
    • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice)
    • Dark urine
    • Upper-right abdominal (stomach) pain
 
  • Swelling of the arms, hands, legs, ankles, feet, or other body areas
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Severe or persistent diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting
  • Abdominal (stomach) pain
  • Chest pain
  • Loss of appetite
  • Headache, dizziness, or back or joint pain.
