Aranesp® is a medication used for treating anemia in people who are undergoing chemotherapy or have chronic kidney failure. It is a man-made version of a human protein that stimulates the production of red blood cells by the bone marrow. Aranesp is available by prescription and can be given either by injection or IV. Possible side effects of Aranesp include muscle pain, fatigue, and diarrhea.
