Who Should Not Take Aranesp?

You should not take Aranesp if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Aranesp, darbepoetin alfa, or any inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have uncontrolled (untreated) high blood pressure.
