It is not known exactly what to expect from an Anzemet overdose. An overdose is unlikely, as most people are given just a few tablets at a time (due to the high cost of the medication). In one case, a person who took too much Anzemet developed low blood pressure, dizziness, and changes in the heart rhythm.
If you happen to overdose, seek medical attention immediately (see Anzemet Overdose).
Anzemet should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. The tablets should be stored in an airtight container.
Keep Anzemet and all other medications out of the reach of children.
Tell your healthcare provider if you forgot to take your dose before you start your chemotherapy or surgery. You will probably be given your Anzemet dose immediately.
Anzemet tablets come in the following strengths:
- Anzemet 50 mg
- Anzemet 100 mg.
The medication also comes in an injectable form that is given by IV.
Currently, there is no generic version of Anzemet licensed for sale (see Generic Anzemet).
