Anzemet Dosage

The recommended Anzemet dosage for the prevention of nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy is 100 mg, taken an hour before the start of chemotherapy. To help prevent nausea and vomiting due to surgery, you can also take 100 mg of Anzemet within two hours before surgery. Anzemet dosing for children ages 2 to 16 is generally based on the child's body weight.

Anzemet Dosage: An Introduction

The dose of Anzemet® (dolasetron mesylate) that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:

  • Your age and weight
  • Whether you are having surgery or chemotherapy
  • Other medications you may be taking
  • Other medical conditions you may have.

As is always the case, do not adjust your Anzemet dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Anzemet Dosing for Surgery
